Key Responsibilities.
- Design electrical systems, components, products, and equipment, such as power generation systems, motors, and communication devices.
- Conduct tests on new and existing systems, analyze data, and perform detailed calculations for system design and performance.
- Oversee project phases, including manufacturing, installation, and operation, to ensure completion on time and within budget.
- Ensure systems comply with safety standards, relevant codes, and regulations.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and instruction manuals.
- Work with other engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Provide technical support, diagnose issues, and recommend design modifications or repairs for existing system.
- Design maintenance strategies, procedures and methods including planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance to minimize unpredicted breakdowns, assess and analyze repair and breakdown costs and recommend equipment upgrading or replacement.
- Manage and oversee routine scheduled maintenance work and respond to equipment faults while carrying out quality inspections on jobs to verify and forward job cards and invoices to Finance for payment.
- Supervise projects to successful completion within the shortest period as may be agreed from time to time
- Manage installations costs in the new outlets and other refurbishments as may be agreed from time to time.
Key Skills & Knowledge.
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering from a recognized university.
- 5 years’ experience in a similar role and good knowledge in the manufacturing industry .
- A deep understanding of electricity, magnetism, and circuits.
- The ability to design and analyze both analog and digital circuits.
- Good understanding of Health and Safety regulations as stipulated in the Law, knowledge of the contract law, and arbitration related to building construction.
- A strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, thermal dynamics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Effective communication skills to convey technical information and collaborate with diverse teams.
