Key duties and responsibilities
- Educate patients, families & caregivers about the condition of renal disease and treatment plan
- Supervise dialysis treatment
- Priming dialyser and bloodlines
- Monitoring patient vital signs and medical details
- Manage the care of multiple dialysis patients throughout the treatment
- Identify unusual dialysis reactions
- Provide care to transplant patients
- Create a training plan for dialysis patients
- Follow up on patients after dialysis
- Schedule dialysis treatment to patients
Qualifications .
- Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Specialization in Renal Nursing.
- Must be registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya with a valid practicing license.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a high-volume Dialysis Unit
- Current PALS (Paediatric Advanced Life Support) certificate a plus
