Job Brief .

Our Client is a leader in Christian Media and one of the largest independent Christian media companies in Africa. We are looking for an Accountant to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and track Institute finances.
• Financial Audit.
• Reconcile bank statements.
• Ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Report on Institute financial data.
• Prepare documentation for external audit.
• Prepare and file tax and statutory returns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field .
• Finance and accounting background, with a minimum of 3 years work experience.
•  Professional accounting qualifications (ICAN, ACCA, CIMA)
• Good knowledge of IFRS standards and reporting best practices
• SAP – strong advantage
•  Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate control issues, risk, impact, and recommendations to management.
•  Critical problem solving, interest in analyzing business data with attention to detail
• Good knowledge of working with ERP systems and Microsoft office applications – added advantage
• Business Partnering skills – ability to develop good working relationships with key stakeholders.
