We seek to hire a highly organized & detail oriented Bids and Tendering Officer for our client. The role holder will be tasked with preparation of tender documents and following through the entire tendering process.
Position:Tenders Officer.
Location:Nairobi.
Duties and Responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance to Conditions of tender, requirements & specifications
- Arranging the collection of tender documentation
- Obtain all the relevant information before completing the tender document
- Tender outlines and document preparation
- To scrutinize, analyze the tender documentation to make sure we can match the technical, skill and experience requirements to maximize our winning opportunities
- Attend to Site / Clarification meeting & to debrief the tendering department & circulate the minutes for discussion
- Coordinating planning and input for tenders
- Assist in compiling the SHE & Quality as per listed criteria
- Ensuring that tenders are fully completed and submitted within the stipulated time frame and delivered at the right address
- Identification of missing documentation and the ability to drive the necessary action to obtain
- Follow up with the non-awarded or lost tenders as to improve our quality standards
- Maintaining hard copy and soft copy records and logging details of all submitted tenders
Qualifications
- Diploma in Business/Project Management or related field
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position
- Experience in preparation of tender documents
- Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple challenging deadlines in a busy environment, remaining calm and composed in potentially stressful situations
- Pro-active & flexible approach to work: ability to work on own initiative
- Ready to learn and adhere to instructions
- Creative and innovative thinking
- Editing and proof-reading skills & high level of accuracy
- Team working skills
